This was one of the most amazing environments i could have ever been to and to go with Sian was amazing too. She was an amazing model which was perfect for the setting that we were in. The weather that day was an odd one it was raining in the morning but then when we took the photos the weather was the best sunny but with some clouds which gave us perfect lighting.

Sian has the exact style to use in this scenery. Her make up made her eyes vivid which was perfect also the green contrasted really well with her. I wanted her hair to stand out as it is so long .

The corn plants were so vast and clumped together that it was fun to go in amongst the plants and get as much green leaf in as possible but still see Sian’s face.

The time of day which was at 6:30pm was perfect as it was almost sun set but the sun was still bright so was able to get some amazing shots for this with the shadows involved and photos of the sky.

thank you for reading !

This was the second time I visited Hitchin Lavender fields and it was just as beautiful as the time I went before; the company that i had was so much fun too. We left Watford at 1:40 pm and it took about 40 mins to get there. We arrived at just after 3:00 pm but, given it closed at 5, we had plenty of time.

The smell was amazing, such a distinctive scent that made us all sleepy. Also the colour was so vivid, so beautiful to the eye with the delightful purple and green. All that could be heard was the sound of buzzing from every angle from many bees collecting pollen and nectar to take home to the hive and turn into honey.

Entry was £6 but we were able to pick the lavender to take home for the house to smell as amazing as the fields were. On arrival, we were given a bag and a pair of scissors to cut the flowers. There was space at the top of the field where we decided to have a picnic with the food we brought. We settled down on the blanket we’d packed in the back of my car.

I had told the everyone that I wanted to do a photoshoot with them. Once we had picked some Lavender we started the shoot and the photos in this post are the outcome. The images were shot on the Nikon D750 with my 24-70 f2.8 lens. (Everyone took turns taking some photos too).
